Japanese major Oil & Gas company is seeking Lead accountant

-Prepare quarterly and annual single (Stand Alone)sub-consolidated financial materials (including analytical materials) for the Company and affiliated companies in the region, and report to the management of the Company and its parent company, INPEX Corporation. -Prepare and submit a consolidated package on a quarterly basis following the time schedule and requests from the parent company. -Create company financial statements with footnotes in USGAAP and or IFRS. -Coordinate and correspond to internal and external audit for the Company and affiliated companies. -Lead the conversion of accounting standards from USGAAP to IFRS for the Company and US affiliated companies. -Review and approve the invoices and payments. -Monitor and analyze the Company’s cash flow to comply with the budget. -Support operation team to set annual cash flow budget.
Experience -Experience in preparing financial statement in USGAAP is required. -Experience in determining the accounting treatment for the new transaction or deals is required. -Experience in determining the accounting treatment to adapt the new accounting standard (within USGAAP) is required. -Experience in preparing financial statements at IFRS is preferred. -Experience in leading the conversion from USGAAP to IFRS is preferred. -Experience at Oil & Gas or energy industry is preferred. -Experience in Joint Venture accounting is preferred. Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications -USCPA or same level of accounting and tax knowledge is required. -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Minimum Requirements for this position -Japanese language skills (native level). -TOEIC score 900+ or same level of practical English skill-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)-Ability to multi-task. -Ability to analyze complex business/operational/technical data. -Strong verbal and written communication skills.-Ability to complete on-time delivery assigned tasks. -Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. -Ability to work proactively in diverse teams.
