Position
IT Infrastructure and Operations Specialist

Summary
​​​​​​​The IT Infrastructure and Operations Specialist is a hands-on technical role responsible for all aspects of Infrastructure, Network and Operations activities across the region. This role involves performing day-to-day tasks as well as lead proposals and implementation to ensure stability, efficiency, integrity, and availability of IT environment. Identify opportunities to optimize costs and adapt to changing business requirements. Develop and maintain adherence to best practices for the delivery of projects across the enterprise. Provide technical leadership, project and cost management and serve as an escalation point for all technical activities. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on direct in-house corporate IT technical experience is required.​​​​​​​

Essential Duties
​​​​​​​Infrastructure
• Design, implement and optimize scalable and secure infrastructure aligned with enterprise and security standards
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Analyze performance and capacity to ensure reliability
• Establish safeguards and controls to protect against cyber threats
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategy; lead testing
• Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure design and implementation

Network
• Plan and deploy network architectures to ensure reliable and secure connectivity
• Maintain all network devices with advanced networking concepts (SD-WAN, OSPF, BGP).
• Perform Traffic analysis and drive continuous improvement of the networking environment
• Design and maintain comprehensive network documentation

Operations
• Configure and maintain IT infrastructure / IoT devices to ensure stability and high availability
• Monitor Infrastructure performance, resolve incidents, and conduct root cause analysis
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation to improve efficiency
• Apply updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain secure configurations
• Maintain inventories of IT assets and configurations
• Provide Tier 1-3 support and demonstrate mastery to ticketing system and its configuration
Documentation, Compliance and Vendor Management
• Create and maintain documentation for Infrastructure, Operation and network activities including Roadmaps, Proposals/Policies/Guidelines/Procedures/User’s manual/Knowledge base
• Support audits, security assessments, and evidence collection
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate and compare vendors and products; Prepare proposals for internal and external stakeholders for explanation and/or approval
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring

Working Hours, Working style
​​​​​​​Full-time, Monday to Friday. May require early mornings, evenings or weekends as needed.
​​​​​​​This is a hybrid role with 3 days in our Itasca office​​​​​​​.

Requirements
• 3 to 5+ years of work experience in a corporate environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in information system, Computer Science, Systems Security, or a related field of study.
• Expert knowledge of Network, Infrastructure, IT Operations, Mobile Device Management and IT security
• Ability to successfully navigate and operate in ambiguous situations and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and technologies
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities of the assignments

Other Requirements
• This position requires 10% domestic and/or international travel for business purposes (*company travel policies, rules, and restrictions will apply). The frequency of travel will depend on business requirements. A valid passport is required.
• Ability to attend late-night / early-morning meetings and accommodate a flexible work schedule required due to global meetings.
• Must be available for after hours and On-Call support as required.
• Must be able to travel to one of our offices at least 3 times a week.
