Position
Trilingual Inside Sales Associate (Entry Level)

Position Summary
A Japanese food and alcohol beverage distributor is seeking a Trilingual Inside Sales Associate (Entry Level). In this role, you will focus on expanding the company's market presence within the American consumer base. Your responsibilities will include initiating innovative projects, introducing new products, and implementing strategic programs. You will also compile and analyze sales data, collaborate with the Purchasing Department, and coordinate with brokers to establish and achieve sales objectives. Engaging with customers and potential clients, providing support, information, and actively selling our company's products are essential aspects of this role. Fluency in English, Chinese, and Japanese is required.

Essential Duties

• Meet the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by Sales Manager
• Make inroads into the American consumer base by initiating new projects/products/programs
• ​​​​​​​Collaborate with brokers to set sales objectives and execute corresponding strategies.
• Provide support, information, and sales assistance to customers and potential clients through visits and communication.
• Coordinate with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely manner
• Produce/participate in trade shows/events as set by business objectives
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport
• Respond to and communicate with all customers in a timely manner
• Coordinate urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs
• Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them
• Input and update orders within the Company database accordingly
• Maintain and safely navigate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy
• Participate in weekly sales meetings
• Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend
• Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
• ​​​​​​​Other duties as required from manager
• Obligation to answer to all management as requested

M-F; 8AM – 5PM (1 hr lunch); OT as needed

Salary
$22 - $24/hour

Qualifications

• ​​​​​​​Business level English required – Read/write/speak/listen
• Business level Chinese required – Read/write/speak/listen: Native level Chinese preferred
• Business level Japanese required – Read/write/speak/listen
• Have and maintain a clean driving record
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
• Pass the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment
• High School Diploma is required; A Bachelor’s Degree or above is preferred
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
• Data Compiling and Analysis skills
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
• Knowledge of ERP systems, especially AS400 is preferred
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and previous attendance of tradeshows is preferred
• Knowledge of Japanese food and sakes is preferred
