Position
Restaurant Manager
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee two of our locations in the Boston area. This pivotal role involves leading all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, ensuring smooth day-to-day services, and maximizing customer satisfaction. The Manager will work collaboratively with the owner, who covers a portion of the overall management duties.

Essential Duties
Store Operations & Maintenance:

• Manage and maintain the daily operations and quality standards of both restaurant locations (e.g., ensuring cleanliness, arranging equipment repairs, handling inspection compliance).
• Handle and resolve customer inquiries and feedback.
• Create and manage daily sales reports and operational logs.
• Coordinate inter-store item transportation (e.g., toilet paper, supplies) using a personal vehicle or ride-share services (e.g., Uber) when it's necessary.
• Plan and manage Private Events and large party reservations.

Team Management & Training:

• Participate in the hiring process for both Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH) staff. (Note: A separate Kitchen Manager handles kitchen operations, but the Restaurant Manager assists with BOH hiring).
• Conduct training for new staff and provide ongoing professional development (OJT).
• Manage staff scheduling, shift coordination, and optimize labor deployment.
• Provide hands-on supervision (SV) and cover FOH positions as needed, depending on staffing levels.
• Be prepared for solo FOH operations (one-person shifts) during slow/off-peak hours.

Inventory Control:

• Manage inventory and ordering for non-food supplies (e.g., takeout containers, chopsticks, paper goods). (Note: Food ingredient inventory and ordering is handled by the Kitchen Manager).

Coordination:

• Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure seamless service flow.
• Collaborate with the owner to share and execute management responsibilities 

Working Hours, Working Style
Work Days:

• Work Days: 5 or 5.5 days per week (may alternate between 5-day and 6-day workweeks).
• Hours: Typically 10:00 or 10:30 AM start to 9:00 or 10:00 PM close.
• Required: Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) availability is mandatory.
• Days Off: Two fixed weekdays off, scheduled in advance.
• Breaks: Taken at the manager's discretion during calmer periods of operation.
• Closing Times: Weekdays close at 9:00 PM or 9:30 PM; Weekends close at 10:00 PM.

Salary/Benefit
Salary Range:

• Salary Range: $72,000 - $90,000 (Annual Estimate)
• Insurance: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Optical Insurance- 20% employee contribution for individual and family coverage

Holidays

• Annual Leave: Two extended breaks per year (one week each, or two consecutive weeks) available.
• Sick Leave: Provided in accordance with state law.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles.
• Experience managing multiple locations or high-volume operations is a plus.
• Experience with staff recruiting, training, and shift scheduling is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic, punctuality, and a high sense of responsibility in performing duties.
