Position
Tufting Maintenance Technician

Summary
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing tufting machines and related equipment to ensure consistent production quality and efficiency.
This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tufting machines, creels, winders, and related production equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
Adjust and calibrate tufting machines for optimal performance and quality.
Replace or repair worn or defective parts such as needles, loopers, knives, hooks, belts, and bearings.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Collaborate with operators and supervisors to ensure smooth operation and identify potential problems.
Follow safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Participate in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.

Working Hours, Working Style
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Full-time
Overtime or weekend work may be required depending on production needs.

Salary/Benefit
$50,000 – $60,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred)
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (carpet or textile tufting experience preferred)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Basic understanding of PLCs and electrical controls preferred
Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
Strong problem-solving, teamwork, attention to detail, and safety awareness
