【Position】 Engineering Manager

【Summary】 We are an automotive parts mass production manufacturer with over 30 years of history in the U.S., headquartered in Japan. While securing stable sales as an automotive parts supplier, we require the achievement of QCDS targets demanded internally and externally in a 24-hour production environment. As a group, we view the U.S. as a vital future hub and aim for further development beyond the automotive industry. Currently, a production engineer from Japan supports local staff as a coordinator, but we are seeking a central figure for technology in our U.S. base for the long term. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of all factory equipment, achieving budget targets related to technology, and launching new projects.

【Essential Duties】

Engineering & Maintenance:

• Responsible for the maintenance and improvement of all factory equipment.
• Provide repair support in the event of equipment failure and implement countermeasures in collaboration with equipment manufacturers.
• Handle inquiries with equipment manufacturers regarding failures, order parts, and arrange service visits.
• Manage tools, including ordering repairs, to prevent production stagnation.

Project & Quality Management:

• Support planning and preparation for new product orders.
• Achieve customer-required delivery dates, quality targets, and prepare for new/increased production.
• Investigate the root cause of quality defects and implement countermeasures.

Cost & Budget Management:

• Achieve budget targets for tool and product defect costs and continuously reduce costs.
• Continuously negotiate with trading companies and tool manufacturers to ensure no losses in ordering/switching and work towards cost reduction.

Collaboration & Support:

• Exchange technical information with group companies to promote the sharing and introduction of technology.
• Provide technical support to other departments to help them achieve budget targets.
• Participate in meetings with group companies as required.

【Qualifications】

• Two-year engineering degree, or two or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in automotive industry production engineering is preferred, but equivalent experience/motivation is acceptable.
• Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Willingness to participate in future management.
