Job Description

This role will support the Chief Marketing Director in ongoing management of the existing product line and the development of new products. Provide insights and key results from trend and market research while offering recommendations for line improvements. Serve as a liaison and support for the sales team and customer service by providing relevant and up-to-date product education and supporting materials for the entire product line.

Responsibilities include:

• Support marketing director in the development of new products from initial design concept through commercialization. Responsible for managing Product Development Tracker and Packaging Tracker.
• Manage the VIP program, identifying trends and products relevant to our loyalist group. Review ideas and findings with the marketing team and build an annual calendar with a minimum of one VIP Box per quarter. Work with third party suppliers to source all promotional goods.
• Complete new item set-up forms and new item entry into Acumatica.
• Responsible for managing and updating price list on an annual basis.
• Responsible for the management of product information on the company’s master product database. Includes handling pricing changes, product availability issues, new item set-ups and making sure that all aspects of the product set-up process are completed and updated prior to the product’s availability date.
• Maintain company-wide calendar for new product development and product launches. Provide regular communication to relevant teams regarding development, changes in launch timing, forecast needs, etc.
• Create product presentation slides for use by sales team for all new products and update existing product slides as needed.
• Ongoing research into consumer insights, competitive analysis and consumer trends to identify new & emerging trends, new competitive products and new market opportunities.
• Provide ongoing product training and selling tools to the sales team and customer service with suggestive selling ideas for new and existing products.
• Manage product compliance ensuring that all products are properly labeled and compliant to U.S. and state regulations. Maintain awareness of legislation, trade group agreements, and federal & state regulations that may affect marketing of products and recommend necessary actions. Attend WIMA industry meetings as required.
• Coordinate eco and sustainability labeling and compliance programs for U.S. and Canada. Work with parent company to obtain necessary information to manage compliance programs with third party suppliers and for accurate reporting as required by key customers.
• Communicate with Account Managers on key account presentations & placements of new products to assist purchasing in planning initial product launch inventory needs based on known key account requirements.
• Assemble and provide monthly product report to President/CEO for company-wide report to headquarters.
• Manage COO changes and BOM transfers.
• Assist with managing product lifecycles by identifying products that need promotional focus due to over inventory, end of lifecycle, etc. Partner with the marketing director and sales team to develop a strategic plan.
• Assist in developing product launch kits and provide educational training for sales team to support new product launches.
• Review and approve content of all customer print materials for accuracy of artwork, product images, product descriptions, SKU numbers and pricing (catalogs, flyers, etc.)
• Assist customer service team with consumer and customer product questions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of consumer products marketing
• Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Acumatica, desired but not required

Hybrid schedule: 3 office days in Suwanee office and 2 work from home days

Hours: 8am - 5pm
