US Country Manager 

​​​​Summary
This is a leadership opportunity to spearhead the US operations for a Japanese-affiliated eCommerce consulting company, focusing on a major online marketplace. The US Country Manager will be instrumental in establishing and expanding the company’s footprint in the US market. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the US business, including sales, marketing, client relations, and operational execution of specialized eCommerce strategies. This is a significant opportunity to drive growth within a rapidly expanding international company.

Essential Duties

• ​​​​​​​Develop and implement strategic plans for the company's operations within the US market. 
• Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing team to drive growth and expansion. 
• Cultivate and manage key relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders. 
• Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and inform decision-making. 
• Collaborate with the company headquarters to ensure alignment with global objectives and strategies. 
• Lead business development initiatives to acquire new clients, ranging from SMB to enterprise levels. 
• Oversee all marketing and sales activities to enhance brand awareness and attract new business. 
• Ensure operational excellence by managing service delivery and maintaining high client satisfaction. 
• Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the US market, ensuring financial targets are met. 
• Represent the company at relevant industry events and conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• ​​​​​​​Proven experience in an operations management or team leadership role within the eCommerce or digital marketing sector; experience related to a major online marketplace (e.g., Amazon) is highly preferred. 
• In-depth understanding of the specific online marketplace's ecosystem, including advertising, SEO, and product catalog optimization. 
• Demonstrable experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management. 
• Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to build and motivate teams. 
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Fluency in English is required. Japanese language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a global team structure. 
• Must currently possess or be eligible to obtain valid work authorization in the United States.
