Position
Outside Sales Representative – FA Equipment

Summary
This position is responsible for proposing Factory Automation (FA) equipment solutions primarily to existing customers. The role begins with inside sales-like responsibilities, allowing new hires to build a strong foundation before transitioning into outside sales after approximately six months. Since most sales activities focus on existing accounts, prior sales experience is not required. This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and an interest in technical products. JET Program alumni are especially encouraged to apply. Fluent English communication is required, and Japanese language ability is a strong plus.

Essential Duties

• Contact and support existing and potential customers by explaining product features and recommending suitable solutions

• Respond to inquiries regarding pricing, availability, product usage, and credit terms

• Prepare and present quotes and delivery schedules

• Conduct follow-up after sales to ensure customer satisfaction and provide continuous support

• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer communications

• Assist in preparing reports, budgets, and expense documentation

• Gradually transition into outside sales, focusing on relationship-building and occasional new business development

• Travel within the U.S., including overnight stays as needed

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Working Hours, Working Style

• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

• On-site, in-office

• Annual Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 (depending on experience)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• 0–1 year of sales or customer service experience

• Fluency in English is required

• Japanese language ability is a plus

• High level of social perceptiveness and customer service orientation

• Ability to think critically and resolve issues independently
