Essential Duties

• Develop and manage relationships with Japanese-affiliated manufacturing companies in the U.S.
• Own the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to contract closure
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand technical and operational pain points
• Propose tailored solutions based on the company’s proprietary SaaS platforms
• Coordinate internally with Operations, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure client satisfaction
• Create client-facing proposals, presentations, and documentation in both English and Japanese
• Attend trade shows and industry events; gather market intelligence and share feedback with product teams
• Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and KPI tracking using CRM tools

Working Hours, Working Style

• Full-time, exempt
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (local time)
• Hybrid or in-office (Downtown Chicago); occasional U.S. travel (~20%)
• High-ownership startup environment with fast decision-making and constant iteration

Salary/Benefit

• Base Salary: $70,000 – $150,000 (DOE)

Qualifications

• Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • OPT/STEM OPT is acceptable only for MBA graduates
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
• MBA or equivalent business background preferred
• 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience (ideally in SaaS, manufacturing, or supply chain tech)
• Track record of exceeding targets and building new markets in fast-changing environments
• High cultural literacy and ability to work cross-functionally across global teams
• Passion for innovation in the industrial sector and interest in scaling a Japan-born tech venture in the U.S.
