Position
Assistant Finance Manager (Exempt)

Summary
The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for financial closing and reporting, monitoring cash flow, managing staff and executing financial tasks within the finance department.

Essential Duties
• Monitors and managers day-to-day financial operations (Invoice payment, Cash collections and other transactions)
• Reviews and approves journals
• Reviews and processes payments of the company
• Performs and reviews balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitors and analyzes accounting data and produces monthly/quarterly financial reports and statements 
•  Prepares and analyzes the monthly and the quarterly management reporting
• Analyzes budget versus actual revenues and expenses
• Maintains cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports
• Prepares quarterly reporting package submitted to Japan 
•  Coordinates and works with other departments, outsourced accounting firm and CPA auditor for data / documents required to complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Prepares documents for CPA audit and SOX
• Supports Finance Director and CFO for annual budgeting
• Liaises with Japanese HQ 
• Reports to Finance Manager, Finance Director and CFO on timely basis

$87K~$91K

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Mandatory: 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the retail or hospitality industries, College degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field, Supervisory or managerial roles
Optional: CPA, Reporting package to parent company

Understanding of overall corporate accounting & FP&A

Computer Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP system
