Business Development Consultant (Independent Contractor)​​​​​​​

Summary
​​​​​​​An architectural design firm is seeking a dynamic and well-connected Business Development Consultant to join them on an independent contractor basis. This role is pivotal in driving our firm's growth by identifying strategic opportunities and assisting them secure new projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry and a proven track record of converting leads into successful projects. This is a fully remote, flexible role designed for a self-motivated professional who thrives on building relationships and achieving results.


Essential Duties (Subject to Change)

• ​​​​​​​Identify, research, and qualify new project leads and business opportunities within target markets.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform business development strategy.
• Collaborate with the firm's leadership and design teams to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Provide regular, structured reporting on pipeline status, lead generation activities, and key performance metrics.

Fully remote with flexible hours

Working Location
Candidates must be baseed in the United States.
pref4erence will be given to applicants located in Southern California.

Salary/Benefit
​​​​​​​$2,000 - $4,000 per month retainer (DOE), plus a performance-based incentive program

Qualifications

• ​​​​​​​Minimum of 3 years of proven business development, project management, or a related experience within an architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) firm.
• An established network of contacts within the architecture design, construction, or related sectors is highly desirable.
• A proactive, self-directed professional with a demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and market research abilities.
• Business-level proficiency in English is required. Japanese language proficiency is a strong plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
