【Position】
Fully Remote : Japanese Bilingual Project Manager

【Summary】
General construction company is looking for profesional japanese bilingual project manager

【Essential Duties】
​​​​

• Must have good understanding of at least one key MEP trade (mechanical, electrical or process systems), including understanding specifications, drawings and P&ID’s.
• The Project Manager, MEP will coordinate the interrelating activities of subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, design and engineering efforts.
• The Project Manager, MEP will coordinate and directly communicate with the Japanese customers on all project activities including but not limited to cost, schedule, design, building trades and MEP trades.
• Participates in estimating process for customer design proposal.
• Analyzes subcontractor and equipment vendor proposals to confirm the criteria are being satisfied.
• Participates in negotiations of contracts with subcontractors and vendors for various trades, ensuring that all phases of the work are encompassed and that a clear definition of work responsibility is defined.
• Reviews construction documents from engineers or DB subcontractors to confirm they comply with scope. 
• Participates in awarding subcontracts.
• Coordinates design and engineering efforts; monitors and reports on financial status of the project(s) and is responsible for subcontract and contract administration.
• Participates in job progress scheduling to ensure that actual construction parallels with the schedule for the cleanroom portion of the project.
• Reviews construction installed by subcontractors to confirm complies with scope.
• Purchases and monitors the delivery of select materials for the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications, for cleanroom vendors.
• Participates in reviews and approves subcontractor and vendor payment requests.  Issues changes in the work to receive prices from subcontractors in a timely fashion.
• Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer.
• Visits job site(s) as needed to review progress and quality of work, with possible required relocation to the jobsite during the cleanroom portion of construction.
• Works with the overall Project Manager to verify the monthly Red File report for the Refrigeration.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work.
• Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of company’s safety program on site.
• Other duties may be assigned.

【Qualifications】

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to communicate in both English and Japanese, written and speaking.  Must know and understand Japanese technical engineering terms and phrases.

Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.  Also, utilize programs for calculating loads and performing cost analysis.
