Accounting Intern (Tax or Audit)

Summary
We are currently seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our accounting firm. This role offers the flexibility of remote work from anywhere in the U.S. Candidates must have passed the CPA exam to be considered. The internship starts as a part-time position (under 20 hours/week during non-peak periods), with the potential to transition to full-time regular employment upon successful completion of the probationary period. This opportunity is ideal for individuals aiming to build their accounting careers within a professional firm.

Essential Duties​​​

• ​​​​​​​Assist in the preparation of tax engagements as directed by Supervisors or Managers
• Identify and communicate potential issues during client engagements
• Conduct business-specific research, analyze data, and compile findings into actionable reports
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Working Hours, Working style
​​​​​​​Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Woking Location
Remote

• Candidates applying for the Audit division must reside in Los Angeles or Orange County

Salary/Benefit
$20/hour

• Salary review upon transition to full-time regular employment
   

Qualifications

• ​​​​​​​Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• CPA exam passed (required)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Bilingual in Japanese (preferred)
