Position
PC/LAN Engineer

Summary
A Japanese IT company is seeking a PC/LAN Engineer to join its team in Torrance, CA.
This position offers an opportunity to support a variety of network and system-related projects in a hybrid work environment.

Essential Duties
For achieving the department goal, the following task shall be performed;

• Attend requisite internal meetings.
• Attend requisite external (customer, vendor) meetings.
• Report weekly, monthly and in a timely manner projects and operations to supervisor.
• Collaborate with team, and others.
• Highly self -motivated in order to improve skill and performance.
• Take a business trip with U.S. and aboard if needed
• Create and update System Document, Operation Manual, Knowledge Base, Trouble History, etc.)

Engineering Work: Target (Network / System / PC)
Following tasks should be performed with being supervised and directed by supervisor.

• Create basic design according to the requirement definition.
• Define roles, functions, and features of the solution according to the requirement definition.
• Create the general design document.　

Kitting Work
For the PC kitting project, the following task shall be performed and completed;

• Create the PC label and ship out the PCs.
• Perform the kitting work according to the kitting procedure and record the kitting work log.
• Create the manual for the customer.

Implementation Work
For the system integration project, the following task shall be performed and completed;

• Perform the installation work (setup, configuration, racking, cabling etc.) on customer site/Datacenter or remotely according to the procedure.
• Perform the test work on site and/or remotely and record and collect the implementation work log.

Maintenance Work

• Pay attention to the customer inquiries and/or system alarm.
• Respond to customer inquiries via e-mail/phone and solving their issues/problems.
• Collaborate with the vendor for solving the system issue/problem if needed.
• Manage the inquiry/issue/problem from the beginning to the end and close the case.
• Document the outage/system problem report.

Help Desk Work

• Pay attention to the customer inquiries and/or system alarm/monitoring.
• Respond to customer inquiries via e-mail/phone and solving their issues/problems.
• Create a ticket on ticket system and tracking them from the beginning to the end and close the case.

**Work on the client site on an as-needed basis.**
