Maintenance Manager

Summary

A Japanese automotive parts manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at its production facility in Rockmart, Georgia. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, managing preventive maintenance programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will lead maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties

• Oversee and manage maintenance activities for facility, stamping, and welding operations.
• Ensure daily production efficiency by maintaining equipment reliability and performance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor and assess processes for continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in new model equipment specifications, implementation, validation, and process development.
• Plan and schedule project timelines related to maintenance activities.
• Manage contractor work and negotiate maintenance-related contracts.
• Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance technical skill levels.
• Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations.
• Support the company’s ISO/TS/IATF certification requirements.
• Report monthly maintenance metrics to upper management.
• Respond to emergency equipment failures and escalate issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments to address customer complaints and equipment-related concerns.
• Participate in improvement meetings for welding and stamping operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Working Hours, Working Style

• Full-time, on-site position (remote work is not available).
• Work schedule may require flexibility, including availability for emergency maintenance situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of maintenance management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Strong knowledge of facility, stamping, and welding maintenance operations.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Ability to analyze processes and implement improvement initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills in English; Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO/TS/IATF certifications and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
