Position 
Accounting Associate / Bookkeeper

Summary
One of the worlds’ leading fishing tackle manufacturers, is looking for an d Accounting Associate / Bookkeeper to join the team at our Port St. Lucie, FL, Sales, Marketing & Distribution facility.

Essential Duties

Bookkeeping & Transaction Management 

• Record daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments
• Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations regularly
• Monitor discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
• Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions

Accounts Payable / Receivable

• Manage vendor invoices and payment schedules
• Track customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
• Ensure timely processing of payments and collections

Month-End & Reporting Support

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare basic financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
• Support internal reporting and documentation for audits

Compliance & Record Management

• Maintain financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial data
• Support tax preparation and audit processes when needed

Working Hours, Working style
Job Type: Full-time
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Solomon etc.)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Experience in accounting within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
