Job Description

Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its manufacturing operations in Auburn, Alabama. This role will be responsible for general ledger management, full-cycle AP/AR operations, and supporting audit and tax compliance. The position serves as a key link between the production floor and financial stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties

Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including three-way matching (PO, receiving documents, and vendor invoices), AR aging, collections, and dispute resolution
Perform daily cash management and bank/credit card reconciliations
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for month-end close
Assist in preparing financial statements, budget vs. actual reports, and other management reports
Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits
Assist with federal, state, and local tax filings (sales tax, use tax, property tax, etc.)
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures

Qualifications
​​​​​​​Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or S/4HANA

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and negotiation ability
