Job Description

Position: Assistant Area Supervisor (4 Positions: Logistic, KC1/KC2, Daifuku, Shipping/Top Cap/QA&QC)

Summary: The Assistant Area Supervisor assists the Area Managers by managing designated field activities associated with the project and supervising designated field construction work done by subcontractors and employees. This role ensures the project is built on time, within budget, and safely, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:

• Participate in preconstruction planning, including project schedule and budget.
• Review project estimates and cost control systems.
• Arrange subcontractors and vendors to commence work on site.
• Ensure all materials and subcontract work comply with contract documents and quality specifications.
• Supervise site inspections to maintain the quality of work.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractor and field personnel in designated areas.
• Assist Area Manager in communicating expectations regarding schedules, construction methods, and company policies.
• Ensure project site and company assets are secure and maintain a safe working environment.
• Attend project progress meetings and understand the upcoming work schedule.
• Assist in finalizing the project closeout process.
• Arrange periodical safety walkthroughs on the site.
• Review and update progress and cost reports regularly.

Working Hours, Working Style:

• Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and possible holidays as directed by the Area Manager.
• Flexibility to relocate if necessary for other projects.

Working Location: Project site office in De Soto, KS

Salary/Benefit:

• Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial/construction field.
• Familiarity with field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of construction contract language and terms.
• Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize people, tools, and equipment and manage multiple activities.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Proficiency in PC and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Skills for reporting and updating progress reports.
