Position
HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

Summary
Assists with the overall and day to day functions of the Human Resources Department.

Essential Duties
​​​​​​​1)    Process information needed to accurately record time worked and/or compensated for hourly factory associates and temporary employees.
a.    Duties include editing timesheets, verifying accuracy of timesheets and distributing payroll to supervisors.
2)    Maintain human resources database:
a.    Webtime
b.    Attendance
c.    Employee demographics
d.    401k enrollments
e.    Direct Deposit banking
3)    Maintain human resources filing
a.    Personnel files including medical files
b.    Applications and resumes
c.    SDS filings and systems
4)    New Employee and temporary employee orientations
5)    Employee Relations
6)    Schedule interviews, administer test and check references
7)    Maintain open position(s) listing
8)    Organize, coordinate, or perform a variety of miscellaneous assignments and activities (i.e. Lunches, First Aid, Training, Safety Equipment)

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of accounting software; database software; internet software; spreadsheet and word processing software.
