Position:
Sr Manufacturing Plant Accountant

Summary:
The Sr Manufacturing Plant Accountant is responsible for providing management with precise financial information and control over the assigned area. This includes general and cost accounting, financial analysis, and budget management. The role ensures adherence to GAAP through ongoing procedural reviews and necessary modifications.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare detailed financial analysis and reporting for Plant Management, focusing on production costs and operating variances.
  • Maintain and analyze the cost accounting system, documents, and records; recommend cost-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate monthly and annual cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP standards.
  • Execute month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist Plant Management in developing short- and long-term financial estimates.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Assist in meeting reporting requirements, including audit schedules, tax schedules, and others.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

Working Hours, Working Style:
Full-time position with standard working hours. May require additional hours during month-end closings or special projects.

Lexington, NC

Salary/Benefit:
Salary range: $40,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
