Job Description

Production Technician

Overview: Production Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of PLC-controlled, robotic, welding, and material handling systems across a variety of applications.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Basic Skills:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong verbal communication
• Technical Aptitude:
  • Basic to moderate electrical and mechanical skills
  • Experience with industrial electrical components, AC (480V 3Φ & 208V 1Φ), and DC (24V) wiring
  • Knowledge of control systems and industrial automation, including:
    • PLCs (Omron)
    • Motion Control
    • Servo Drives (Yaskawa)
    • VFDs
    • Sensors
    • Material Handling Systems
    • Hydraulic and Robotics Systems (Fanuc, OTC Daihen, Yaskawa/Motoman)
• Experience:
  • Automation maintenance
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Robotic welding
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance
  • 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing

Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine if the problem is mechanical, electrical, or system-related.
• Use hand tools and various instruments (e.g., wrenches, multimeters).
• Utilize measurement tools to verify components meet specifications (e.g., calipers, indicators).
• Read and update electrical schematics (printed or electronic).
• Work professionally within a team, showing a willingness to learn and grow.
• Cooperate with FPG’s management to perform high-quality work without errors.
• Continuously improve technical and professional skills needed for assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

• Specialist Level: $29.13 to $35.70 per hour
• Tech 2 Level: $22.57 to $27.03 per hour
