Job Description

Position Title: Entry-Level Logistics Coordinator (NVOCC - Ocean Freight Forwarding)

Job Description:

This role as an Entry-Level Logistics Coordinator in NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) Ocean Freight Forwarding welcomes candidates with or without industry experience. Duties encompass, but are not limited to, the following, with additional responsibilities as assigned:

Learn and execute the preparation of accurate and timely shipping documentation for domestic and international ocean shipments, specializing in AES filing using the Meiko system.
Assist in coordinating and facilitating ocean shipments in collaboration with importers/customers.
Contribute to meticulous data entry, including submissions to US Customs and other relevant government agencies.
Support in processing and verifying documents specific to ocean freight forwarding.
Monitor the progress and status of ocean shipments.
Collaborate in organizing truck/drayage services through effective vendor communication.
Assist in approving vendor invoices and overseeing payment processing.
Contribute to generating precise invoices for customers involved in ocean freight transactions.
Participate in audits and contribute to maintaining well-organized files.
Ensure attention to detail for accuracy in all documents, with a focus on NVOCC ocean forwarding requirements.

Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 05:30 PM (1-hour lunch)

Location: Norcross, GA

Salary: $18 - $24 per hour
