    Business Development Manager
   
【Summary】

   We are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Electronic Materials group that will manage the US territory.
The purpose of this role is to increase revenue, market share and manage profitability, as part of the Materials Business Unit focusing on adhesives and film and other related products for electronic devices and automotive application.
Responsible for developing business plans, product solutions and driving sales and customers to reach the expected growth levels of the business.

【Essential Duties】
Business Development Manager
-Principal Accountabilities/Main functions
-Acquiring new projects both with existing customers and new customers.
-Spec-in of the company's solutions at (OEM) design/technology centers, and their respective suppliers (Electronic Manufacturing Suppliers (EMS)), Component Makers and Converters.
-Drive global co-ordination of related activities leading to profitable growth.
-Define product development needs for respective key accounts and suppliers, participating in development process and subsequent specifications at design centers
 
A) Primary Tasks
-Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
-Promote the company's solutions for key applications throughout the customers' value chain at tiers and involved converters.
-Drive functional film and adhesives spec-in at assigned key accounts and new customers by working with Product Design Engineers and Materials Engineers.
-Negotiate pricing, business terms, and contracts on behalf of the company.
-Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
-Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
-Regular visits to manufacturing companies to support spec-in of products throughout the design cycle.
-Make regular visits to value chain in Asia or other regions to support the customers design teams and our team.
-Collaborate closely with relevant the Asia team in the region to ensure smooth communications on project information, conduct monthly meeting, and participate global sales meetings.
-Identification of up-coming projects and mapping of project supply chain and key decision makers.
-Identification of gaps in our product assortments and requirement profiles by writing business cases requesting new products that fill these gaps.

   $80-100K + Bonus

【Qualifications】
    -University degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business or comparable experience
   -Results- oriented, capable of managing complex projects both independently and collaboratively.
   -Min. 3 years sales and account management or business development experience.
   -Willingness to travel on the job domestically and internationally approximately 30-50% of working time
   -Intercultural competence with experience working with the supply chain in Asia is preferred
   -Able to speak and write Japanese
   -Strong communication and presentation skills
   -Extensive knowledge of the industry and the competitive market
