Bilingual Warehouse Supervisor

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, specializing in construction equipment parts. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of 10 employees, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely shipments, and adherence to safety protocols. The position also involves overseeing a simple assembly process and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Candidates must be proficient in English and should ideally have additional language skills in Japanese, Spanish, Korean, or Chinese to effectively communicate with diverse team members and suppliers.

Essential Duties

• Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping of construction equipment parts.
• Supervise and lead a team of 10 employees, providing training, performance evaluations, and operational guidance.
• Oversee simple assembly processes to ensure product quality and accuracy.
• Develop and implement warehouse procedures to maximize efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages or overstock.
• Utilize and operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to meet delivery deadlines and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports, such as productivity metrics and inventory accuracy, and implement improvements as needed.
• Plan and schedule employee shifts to meet daily operational demands.

Working Hours, Working Style

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility based on operational needs.
• Working Style: On-site, hands-on role requiring active involvement in warehouse operations and team management.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required; additional proficiency in Japanese, Spanish, Korean, or Chinese is preferred.
• Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the construction equipment or industrial parts industry.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience, including managing a team of at least 10 employees.
• Hands-on experience with inventory management systems and warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
• Familiarity with simple assembly processes and quality assurance practices.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Forklift certification is a plus.
