HR / People Operations Partner – Luxury Japanese Dining 

​​​​​​Summary
Our client — a Luxury Japanese Dining Group — is seeking a People Operations Partner to support their growing multi-unit restaurant operations. This role plays a key part in managing the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on high-volume recruitment, on-site hiring, and People Operations support across multiple restaurant locations.

About the Role
The People Operations Partner will collaborate closely with Unit Managers to meet staffing needs, support new store openings, manage full-cycle recruitment, and serve as a trusted HR partner throughout the organization. The ideal candidate brings restaurant or hospitality experience and is comfortable working in fast-paced, front-line environments.


 Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & On-Site Hiring

• Lead full-cycle hiring for hourly, supervisory, and management roles
• Conduct on-site hiring events, interviews, and community outreach
• Build talent pipelines for high-volume hiring and new store openings
• Partner with Unit Managers to support staffing needs
• Source candidates, screen resumes, and coordinate interview steps
• Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and offer acceptance rate
• Collaborate with universities, job fairs, and community organizations
• Support hiring and onboarding for new store openings

Onboarding & HR Operations

• Manage background checks, I-9 verification, and new-hire documentation
• Support or lead new-hire orientation sessions
• Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee file compliance
• Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to resolve employee questions
• Assist with onboarding logistics and new store support

People Support & HR Guidance

• Serve as a point of contact for Unit Managers on HR procedures and best practices
• Provide guidance on interviewing, documentation, and basic employment law
• Assist with employee relations questions across assigned units
• Provide flexible People Operations support as needed

 Qualifications
• Experience in Japanese restaurants or food wholesale
• Experience supporting new store openings or pre-opening HR activities
• Prior multi-location or franchised operations experience
• Bilingual in Japanese and English preferred
