Bilingual Outside Sales Representative (English/Japanese)

Summary

We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Bilingual Outside Sales Representative to join our machinery and tools trading company. This role is ideal for candidates who are fluent in English and have at least basic proficiency in Japanese. You will develop relationships with clients, identify their needs, and provide manufacturing parts and Factory Automation (FA) solutions from top brands like FANUC and Omron. This is a great opportunity to start a career in sales and gain experience in the industrial sector.

Essential Duties

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Understand customer needs and offer tailored FA and manufacturing solutions.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations in English (Japanese is a plus).
• Assist in lead generation and follow up on sales inquiries.
• Support the sales team with quotations, order processing, and customer support.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to find new business opportunities.
• Prepare sales reports and forecasts for the Sales Manager.
• Attend trade shows and networking events to promote company products.

Working Hours and Style

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Occasional travel for client meetings.
• Remote work permitted up to 5 days per year (total of 40 hours).

Salary and Benefits

• Annual salary: $45,000 to $55,000
• Performance bonuses twice a year, up to two months' salary each time

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (required), basic to intermediate Japanese (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred
• Sales or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Basic proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office
• Comfortable with long-distance driving (up to 2 hours for client visits)
• Valid driver’s license required
