Job Title: Export Coordinator
Reports to: Export Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Export Coordinator to join our Export Department. As an Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth and timely movement of goods for our customers. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of the export process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries regarding regulations, required documentation, invoices, quotas, and other related matters.
• Coordinate with trucking companies to arrange for the pickup of cargo from customer warehouses or other locations and transport to company warehouses.
• Schedule and adjust trucking logistics as necessary to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with airline companies to book cargo space and secure transportation arrangements.
• Obtain and negotiate freight rates for ocean, air, trucking, and rail shipments.
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of export documentation, including bills of lading, packaging lists, and invoices, in compliance with customs regulations and airline requirements.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, providing updates to customers and overseas offices as needed.
• Maintain customer information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Generate and distribute invoices to customers and overseas agents.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and customer service, to address customer inquiries and requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
• Handle special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• Uphold high ethical standards and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Report irregularities and problems to management for resolution.
• Foster positive communication with colleagues and external contacts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
• Certificate of IAC Security Training (IACSSP) and STA (Security Threat Assessment) ID required by DHS-TSA.
• HAZMAT Certification (IATA or IMDG).
• Any additional certificates or training records required by departments, positions, or government agencies.

Compensation: Hourly wage ranging from $20 to $23.
