Financial Business Services Consultant

Summary
A Japanese Consulting company is seeking a Financial Business Services Consultant. The focus of this position is to work closely with the client business/IT unit personnel to gain an in-depth understanding of their operations, processes, services, and the context in which the business operates and delivery output that meets the client's expectations.

Essential Duties
• Working with project workstream leads to facilitate the definition and documentation of business function workstreams and supporting systems process requirements and ensuring functional and technology solutions enhance and support the client’s business operations.
• Working with project workstream leads to understanding, defining, and documenting project workstream tasks and their progress status, as well as documenting the resolution/mitigation status and progress of identified issues and risks.
• Working with the company and client project managers and the project workstream leads to identify, document, and facilitate a resolution to cross-workstream issues and schedule dependencies.
• Developing clear, concise process documents, which require proficiency in interviewing skills, facilitation skills, business process requirements, workflow analysis, etc.
• Working with project workstream managers to assist in the analysis functions and technology alternatives and recommending to both client and company project managers solutions for business issues, as well as identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications
​​​​​​​•    3-5 years of business operations experience in consulting project roles or financial services environment
•    Working knowledge and experience in financial services in one or more of the following domain areas is preferred, but not required:
o    Loan / Guarantee / Fund finance especially Syndicated loan specialist
o    Transaction Banking / Local Remittance/ Trade Finance
o    Settlement / ISO /Payment
o    Asset Management
•    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, and Information Technology.
•    Solid critical thinking skills.
•    Strong organizational skills are necessary to succeed in a dynamic environment.
•    Able to create, maintain, and leverage documentation and provide support to facilitate project team productivity and project schedule timeline across multiple workstreams.
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Possess excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Good time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
•    Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint) proficiency
•    Must hold U.S. Work Permission
•    Must speak English and Japanese fluently
•    Must be willing to travel to a client location
