Position
Sales Representative (Logistics Industry)

Summary
A well-established Japanese-affiliated logistics company is seeking a proactive and motivated Sales Representative to join their team in the Chicago metropolitan area. The position involves both new business development and account management, primarily targeting Japanese clients across the Midwest region. Multiple hiring tracks are available based on the candidate’s background, language skills, and level of experience.

Essential Duties

• Visit clients primarily in IL, IN, OH, MI, and KY to build and maintain relationships
• Develop new accounts and generate additional business from existing customers
• Propose customized logistics solutions and coordinate with internal departments
• Prepare sales documentation and manage client communications
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall team goals
• Provide excellent after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction

Working Hours, Working Style

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Central Time)
• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Business travel required within the assigned region
• On-site work required (some flexibility available for certain roles)

Salary/Benefit

• Base Salary: $50K–$80K (based on experience and position track)

• Commission Structure:

  • Year 1: 15% for new accounts, 10% for new business with existing accounts

  • Year 2: 10% for new accounts, 5% for new business with existing accounts

  • Year 3 onward: Accounts transition to house accounts

• Japanese-English bilingual

• Existing client portfolio required
• Japanese language not required
• Remote work considered

Track ③: Bilingual Logistics Operations to Sales (Developmental)

• 2+ years of logistics operations experience
• Japanese-English bilingual
• Willingness to transition into sales
• On-site only

Track ④: Bilingual Sales Professional (Non-Logistics Industry)

• 2+ years of sales experience in a different industry
• Japanese-English bilingual
• Strong interest in logistics industry sales
