This position needs to drive the section to success for the section’s goals for net income and related achievements. Also, being capable of providing proactive suggestions and implementations for workplace improvement are vital functions. In order to make it happen, sometimes challenging tasks may be designed for the frontline staff to implement. Therefore, the Section Manager needs strong leadership capability.The Section Manager acquires logical thinking and sound judgment to implement management responsibility. Also, responsible for regular frontline work, including arranging and booking clients’ air transportation and other related products through making sales budgets and engaging with targeted sales and marketing activities. New employee planning, recruiting, and hiring may be necessary as needed.? Essential Job Functions ? Frontline Work- Book air and related travel reservations for clients.- Responsible for reservation change or ticket refund.- Order, send, and inventory control for Rail Pass.- Respond to clients’ complaints.- Create invoices for check payments.- Accounts receivable to collect payments via corporate reservations.- Manage a small cash box.- Make bank deposits.- Create the ARC reports.- Respond to emergency beeper calls after hours, based on stand-by call shift.- Other duties and responsibilities are assigned, accordingly, as needed.
- Demonstrates organizational and problem-solving skills related to booking, client care, andpossible tour incidents.- Clarity of communication in both written and verbal.- Ability to prioritize work and to still handle stressful circumstances and situations.- Ability to work smoothly with management and other desk members.- Ability to work engagingly, autonomously, and professionally with other people.- Reliable interpersonal skills with all other employees and clients.- Working experience with multicultural teams or different ethnicity.- Ability to experience and operate MS Office & GDS (Global Distribution System).- A minimum of five (5) years or longer of previous work-related skills, knowledge, orexperience in related fields are required.- Bilingual (English and Japanese) capability is preferred.
