Sales Assistant​​​​​​​

Summary
A startup Japanese food manufacturer is seeking a Sales Assistant to support our sales team with day-to-day coordination, communications, and client follow-up. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and is looking to grow in the field of sales and operations.

Essential Duties

• Support the sales team with order processing, scheduling, and client communication
• Prepare sales materials, presentations, and follow-up documentation
• Assist with data entry, CRM updates, and internal reporting
• Coordinate shipping, delivery updates, and promotional material fulfillment
• Communicate with clients, distributors, and partners in both Japanese and English
• Attend meetings, site visits, and occasional trade events (travel required ~25%)
• Perform general administrative tasks to ensure smooth sales operations

Monday - Friday; 9:00 - 18:00

Salary/Benefit
$36,000 - $40,000

Qualifications and Requirements

• ​​​​​​​Prior office experience required (minimum 1 year in a professional office setting)
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to travel as needed for meetings, store visits, or regional events
• Must be based in the Los Angeles area and available for in-person work in Marina del Rey
