Accounting Assistant

Summary
A real estate investment company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support accounting and back-office operations. The role includes a wide range of responsibilities, from daily bookkeeping and invoice management to monthly closing and IRS-related support. Many of the company's clients are Japanese businesses, so cross-cultural communication is valued.

Essential Duties
[Accounting Tasks]
Daily bookkeeping (journal entries, payment processing, A/R & A/P management)
Preparing financial documents and entering transactions
Petty cash and expense reimbursements management
Assisting with monthly closing
Creating and managing invoices
Corresponding with the IRS
Supporting corporate tax filings

[Back Office Tasks]
Sales support
Answering phone calls in Engish
Document filing and internal organizational tasks
Light office cleanup and supply management
Web research and general administrative duties

Working Hours / Style
Full-time
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
On-site work required

Qualifications
Comfortable handling accounting tasks in English
Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus
Responsible and cooperative with strong teamwork skills
Experience with QuickBooks is preferred Japanese language communication skills are a big plus
