Department ResponsibilitiesPurchase Department performs following tasks including purchase order, receiving and shipping of ingredient, packaging, and plant supply for daily production (Including management of material control systems (Fourth Shift)).1. Purchasing, Receiving and Shippinga) Check the cost, specs, and appearance of existing ingredient and packagingb) Make Purchase Order for ingredient, packaging, plant supply and special-order materials that low on inventory, and receive these materials from suppliers. (“Receive” process Includes Reconciliation process between receiving and invoice)c) Put-away and shipping of ingredient, package and WIP items, and fill out the “Product Receiving Log”2. Management of Inventorya) Perform weekly and end of the month physical inventoryb) Manage the data of inventory in Fourth shift and analyze the difference between the theoretical and physical numberc) Propose a solution to reduce the difference based on the analysis above and execute3. Management of Material Control System (Fourth Shift)a) Register and change the material and vendor mastersb) Register and change the items and WIP costsc) Enter the data of shipping/receiving, forecast/actual order, and physical inventory4. Tasks related to risk of material procurement5. Tasks related to distress materials and WIP items6. Share the information about the substitute materials to stakeholders7. Perform all other tasks related to the above responsibilities
? Minimum 3 years supervisory and management experience? Understand and conduct Lean Management (Streamlining processes, identify problems needing to be fixed by creating a continuous process flow. Using visual control, Problem solving and Eliminating waste)? Follow Chain of Commando Follow the given instruction from upper management. If you disagree or cannot do, communicate with the upper management.? Reporting Skillo Before reporting,? Understand the difference between Fact and Opinion. When you report to your boss, clarify what is fact or opinion.? Too much information sometimes obstructs your boss's understanding of the incident. Consider what you need to share to your boss and summarize it before you talk to your boss.o Report the conclusion first, reason second, detail third (if necessary)
Knowledge of procurement software and tools? Interpersonal skills such as teamwork and good listening skills? Excellent communication skills? Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management? Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; data bases, and word processing? Strong planning and organizational skills.? Must have a hands-on work ethic? 4-year degree preferred or sufficient experience? Open to travela) Training in Texas commissary for Three Months (Estimate, Training period is not guaranteed.
