Computer Systems Administrator and help desk

Summary
The Computer Systems Administrator and help desk is the responsible for providing technical assistance and support that is related to computer systems, hardware, or software by responding to inquiries, running diagnostic programs, and determining and implementing solutions.

Essential Duties

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with computers — Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Making decisions for solving IT problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Updating and using relevant knowledge — Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
• Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
• Comply with all regulations into the employee handbook.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES 

• Assume a support role in the US referred to as Local IT, in accordance with Cargo Wise 1 global policy, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, or other network and system problems, replacing faulty components when necessary, and all configurations.
• Diagnose, troubleshooting, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
• Assist and support staff with incoming requests and problem resolution related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, system software, application software, and all configurations.
• Perform data backup and disaster recovery operations.
• Train or instruct the staff on computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office). 
• Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
• Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate access to and use of computer networks.
• Performs other related duties and projects as requested or assigned by the IT Manager or senior management.

Working Hours, Working style
9:00 - 18:00 
On Site

If working from a Midwestern state, the working hours could also be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., to align with European office hours.

$55,000-＄74,400

Qualifications
​​​​​​​1.    Basic literacy and numeracy skills required. 
2.    Knowledge of computer science, information technology and/or related field.
3.    Knowledge of office processes, procedures and technology. 
4.    Microsoft Office.
5.    Excellent communication skills.
6.    High level of professionalism and confidentiality
7.    Preferred achieving Cargo Wise 1 certification. 
8.    Japanese speaking and/or writing preferred for coordination with Japan HQ
