o All day to day operation of purchasing department. ・Responsible for selecting appropriate suppliers ・Responsible for fair pricing of purchased items ・Responsible for maintaining proper purchasing processes ・Responsible for purchasing materials with appropriate quantity and timely manner to keeping production activities well ・Responsible for responding to internal and external quality-related requests (complaints, audits, PPAP, etc.) ・Responsible for the smooth operation of the teamo Purchasing of raw materials, components, equipment, machinery, provides guidance and assistance for contracted services.o Takes initiative in minimizing cost on all procurement items.o Reviews purchase order claims and contracts, negotiates with freight companies and custom brokers, prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices for direct material, manages activities relating to supplier development and performance.o Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability.o Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid.o Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.o Maintains manual or computerized procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories.o Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with vendors and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.o May approve invoices for payment.o May expedite delivery of goods to users.o Responsibilities also include data processing.o Always be conscience of ways to be more efficient and reduce cost in order to increase profitability.o Everything is Safety first. ・Knowledge of procurement risk management, including related laws and regulations and contracts.・Market, material and cost knowledge.・Supplier negotiation.・Knowledge of the company's products and production processes overview.・Vendor evaluation and selection knowledge (including credit management and vendor audit)・Purchasing budget management skills..・Organizational management and improvement experiences・Strong computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, e-mail, DDL, EDI, ASN, and inventory management software.・Strong management and supervisory skills.・Excellent organizational skills.・Excellent written and verbal communications skills.・B.A. or B.S. in management related field.・5-10 years manufacturing experience at a supervisory or management level.
Physical Requirements・While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for eight hours, talk, and hear.・The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to feel or handle, and to reach with hands and arms.・The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 lb.・Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.・While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.・The employee is required to input data using a computer keyboard, calculator adding machine, and telephone key pad for six to eight hours.・The employee is occasionally required to operate a motor vehicle for company purposes.
