Field Application Engineer (FAE)
Summary
This role involves supporting the home appliance industry in the Americas by providing technical assistance for semiconductor components, including evaluation, design-in, and troubleshooting. It includes offering expert advice on home appliances and electronic devices, conducting product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training in collaboration with the sales team. The position emphasizes market analysis, feedback-driven product development, and strategic sales planning to drive growth. 
Essential Duties

• ​​Provide support to customers in the home appliance industry or equipment manufacturers whose end-users are in the home appliance industry across North and South America, including semiconductor component evaluation, design-in support, and troubleshooting.

• Offer technical advisory on home appliances and semiconductor/electronic products and assist with product introductions.

• Collaborate with the sales team to conduct product demos, technical presentations, and training for customers.

• Analyze market trends and competitive products, provide feedback for product development, and drive sales growth through strategic sales planning and execution.

• Propose new applications and technical solutions based on customer needs.

• Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.

• Provide technical training programs to customers, distributors, and sales representatives to spread technical knowledge.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback, identifying opportunities and threats, and provide valuable reports to headquarters' business units.

• Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, engineering, and quality control to enhance customer satisfaction and resolve technical issues.

Working Hours, Working style
​​​​​9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, on-site work.

Salary/Benefit
・Salary range is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Adjusted according to market rate and the candidate's expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in the home appliance, industrial equipment, or semiconductor industries.

• Experience with appliance manufacturers (e.g., Whirlpool, GE Appliances) or semiconductor companies (e.g., STMicroelectronics, Infineon, OnSemi).

• Knowledge or experience in circuit simulation and PCB layout is a plus.

• Relevant semiconductor engineering experience with high-voltage motor drivers, power ICs, etc.

• Experience providing technical sales support for power semiconductors or related products as an agent or sales representative.

• Knowledge and experience with the latest technologies in power semiconductors or the home appliance industry within the last 5 years.
