* Prepares payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.* Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.* Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.* Implements payroll audit regularly, including but not limited to timecards, employee status, pay rates, benefit deductions, tax withholdings. * Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers.* Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.* Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables in compliance with GAAP timely* Assist in preparing monthly consolidated P&L and Balance sheet flux analysis for management reporting* Coordinate Balance Sheet account reconciliation monthly* Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data* Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents* Maintain capital lease, note payable, depreciation schedule* Support and oversee accounting clerical staff (A/P & A/R) as necessary* Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information* Assist assistant controller with annual audit, Ad-hoc tasks, and special projects, as needed* Maintain financial security by following internal controls* Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance* Minimum 4-7 years’ experience in accounting/finance* Experience with financial reporting* Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
* Strict attention to detail, highly organized, and efficient* Strong communication skills
