Sales Representative – Industrial Desktop Robotics

Summary
A U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese precision machinery manufacturer is seeking a Sales Representative to join its growing team. This company specializes in compact desktop robotic systems used for screw fastening and adhesive dispensing in high-precision industries such as electronics, medical devices, automotive, and aerospace. With approximately 30% market share and annual sales of around 3,000 units globally, the company is a recognized leader in its niche. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with B2B sales experience who thrives on relationship-building and solution-oriented consulting. While this is an outside sales role, most leads are inbound, and there is no need for aggressive cold-calling or new client prospecting.

Essential Duties

• Respond to inbound inquiries and provide tailored product proposals to prospective customers

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients across various industries

• Conduct on-site visits for product demonstrations, technical discussions, and support

• Understand customer challenges and propose suitable solutions using desktop robotic systems

• Work closely with internal technical teams and the parent company in Japan to coordinate product delivery and support

• Monitor industry trends and gather customer feedback for future product and service improvement

• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events as needed

Working Hours, Working Style

• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

• Full-time, Exempt

Salary/Benefit

• $60,000–$70,000 base salary plus commission

• Commission: 1% of sales (2% for new accounts)
