Position

Ocean Import Coordinator

Summary

Due to business expansion, we are looking to hire two new Ocean Import Coordinators to join our team immediately. This role is responsible for managing ocean and air import operations, ensuring smooth logistics processes, accurate customs entry, and excellent customer service. Candidates with strong capabilities may also be assigned export or domestic logistics tasks as part of a rotation.

Essential Duties

1. Shipment Arrangements (65%)

   • Create shipment files and process Importer Security Filing (ISF).
   • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, truckers, and customers.
   • Ensure timely and accurate customs entry.

2. Billing and Payment Processing (20%)

   • Complete billing within five days from the delivery date.
   • Generate and send invoices, process vendor payments, and collect customer payments.

3. Cost Optimization & Negotiation (5%)

   • Obtain and compare service quotes for cost reduction.
   • Negotiate rates with service providers.

4. Customer & Agent Support (5%)

   • Provide timely and accurate quotations to customers and overseas agents.

5. Documentation & Organization (5%)

   • Maintain organized records of shipment-related files and information.

Working Hours, Work Style

• Employment Type: Full-time (7.5 hours/day, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 30-minute lunch break)
• Work Days: Monday to Friday (weekends and company holidays off)

Work Location

• Office-based role at the company’s branch in the United States

Salary & Benefits

• Hourly Wage: Around $24/hour
• Bonus: Available starting from the second year

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in logistics, import/export operations, customs clearance, and customer service is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), internal company systems, and web-based tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a cooperative and positive team attitude.
