Job Description

Position

Gaming Expert

Summary

XXX, Inc., publisher of video games in both North America and Europe, is looking to add a
Gaming Expert to the Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is intimately familiar with games and gaming (with a bonus being for our titles or signature genres), follows the latest voices and publications about gaming, and is persistent in finding new ways to break through the noise and get top tier coverage of our games.

Essential Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Play each game to end and pass product knowledge to the team.
● Present our games in the form of a PowerPoint or Google Slide and gameplay demo to the team.
● Play and study each game thoroughly and contribute to writing marketing text.
● Develop marketing plans for our game titles by providing specific product knowledge.
● Research comparable games and how to sell them.
● Plan and host live streaming of gameplay.
● Capture dynamic gameplay footage and screenshots for marketing purposes.
● Provide capture directions to Content Moderators and/or QA testers.
● May test or evaluate games.
● Perform other duties as assigned

Working Hours

9:00~18:00 or 8:00~17:00 or 10:00~19:00

Salary, Benefit

60K~85K 経験により判断
 Benefits: Health, Dental & Vision coverage, 401k plan
Health care: effective first of the month following 30 days waiting period.
401K: Require 3 months of service to be eligible.
 Paid holidays; 88 hours of vacation per year; 56 hours sick leave per year
 Discretionally Year-end bonus (TBD) may be available

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or one or two years of related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
(Communication, Marketing, Advertising or related field a plus)
● 1+ years of experience working in a team.
● Strong ability to play video games even in Japanese.
● Strong attention to deadlines.
● Understanding of video game concepts, terms, and gameplay (in particular RPGs).
● Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
● Able to travel internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Understanding of the concept of Gaming business in Gaming industry.
● Understanding of video game concepts, terms, and gameplay (in particular RPGs).
● Good base of knowledge for gaming industry personalities and publications.
● Knowledge and history of RPGs.
● Established media contacts.
● Experience in streaming gameplay and/or content creation related to gameplay.

Other Requirements:
 Supervisory Responsibilities: No
 Valid driver’s license

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 Work is typically performed either in an office environment with a moderate noise level or at your home.
 While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to frequently sit and occasionally must stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
 Specific vision abilities include the ability to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen, measure, or identify using eyesight and adjust vision focus.
 Abilities to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups.
