Account Executive (Liquor Focus)​​​​​​​

Position Summary
A Japanese food and alcohol beverage distributor is hiring an Account Executive (Liquor Focus). In this role, you will be responsible for expanding their company's market presence in the American consumer base by initiating innovative projects, introducing new products, and implementing strategic programs. You will compile and analyze sales data, collaborate with the Purchasing Department, and manage brokers to set and achieve sales objectives. Engage with customers and potential clients, providing support, information, and actively selling our company's products. Business-level Japanese is preferred.

Essential Duties

• Meet the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by Acting Division Manager
• Make inroads into the American consumer base by initiating new projects/products/programs
• Compiles sales data for Sales Manager, Purchasing Department, and Customers
• Manage brokers to set sales objectives and implement strategies accordingly
• Visit customers and potential customers to provide support, information, and sell the company’s products
• Coordinate with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely manner
• Produce/participate in trade shows/events as set by business objectives
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport
• Respond to and communicate with all customers in a timely manner
• Coordinate urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs
• Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them
• Input and update orders within the Company database accordingly
• Maintain and safely navigate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy
• Participate in weekly sales meetings
• Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend
• Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
• Performs duties as assigned.

M-F; 8AM – 5PM (1 hr lunch); OT as needed

$61K - 66K

Qualifications

• Business level English - Abilities to read, write, speak, and listen are required
• Conversational or Business level Japanese - Abilities to read, write, speak, and listen are preferred
• Have and maintain a clean driving record
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
• Pass the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment
• AA Degree is required; A Bachelor’s Degree or above is preferred
• 2+ years of food or liquor sales experience
• 2+ years of customer service or sales experience is preferred
• Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
• Data Compiling and Analysis skills
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
• Knowledge of ERP systems, especially AS400 is preferred
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and previous attendance of tradeshows is preferred
• Knowledge of Japanese food and sakes is preferred
