About the Position
A Japanese beverage company is seeking a qualified Account Manager (Food Services x Japanese). This position is responsible to develop and promote the company’s products and services, focusing on Japanese food services sales channels in order to increase the profit of the company as well as maintain the existing customer base.

Company Summary
The company is the largest producer of Japanese Matcha green tea. They are committed to providing high-quality organic and conventional Matcha to the world. The company supports the North American market by supplying Matcha powder in bulk to manufacturers, wholesale quantities to small businesses and cafés, and their brand products to retail customers.

Essential Duties
Sales Promotions

• Identifies, contacts and develops potential relationships with Japanese food services and Japanese distributors
  and/or customers within the Japanese food services industry
• Visits potential and existing customer locations to promote products
• Provides support for helping customer making drinks, helps with questions regarding the customer’s menu items
• Determines customers needs and budgets; plans and implements a sales strategy to sell the company’s
  products/services
• Communicates with existing and potential customers seeking sales opportunities and identifies market trends
• Develops and maintains sales materials to be presented to the customers
• Conducts sales presentations and introduces promotional products to both existing & potential customers
• Ability to generate leads and follows up
• Recommends potential services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer
  needs
• Plans,attends, travels, sets up and breaks down tradeshows
• Follows up on leads gained from tradeshow attendance
• Gathers and generates leads and follows up accordingly
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Customer Support

• Responsible for answering customers questions, inquiries and complaints about the company products
• Submits weekly activity/call sales reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems
  concerning customer relationships

Other & Miscellaneous 

• Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes
• Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
• Maintains high ethical standards in the work place
• Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solutions
• Maintains good communication with management, office, staff members and outside contacts
• Complies with all company policies and procedures as described in the company handbook
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area

Monday- Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales role required
• Experience within food services industry is required
• Experience in working with coffee distributors and/or food service distributors is a plus
• Knowledge of Matcha is preferred
• Must be Japanese-English bilingual (fluent Japanese, business English)
• Must be willing to come into the office daily
