Job Description

Supervise Warehouse Distribution employees and Operations; Effectively and professionally interact with staff and customer to provide highest quality service and resolve any customer complaints or issues; Plan and implement customer service, quality. Monitor performance of branch operations staff to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service with no damages, losses or misdirected shipments. Analyze and implement optimization projects to maximize space utilization and revenue potential of the facility. Effectively, professionally and respectfully supervise, motivate and communicate with subordinate staff to promote teamwork in a safe and secure work environment, and ensure consistent compliance with Corporate and Branch policies and procedures. Perform training needs analysis as required to develop and implement training and cross-utilization programs to maximize staff productivity and cost efficiency. Ensure that sub-departments are working together as one team, and that the workload and overtime opportunities are fairly distributed; Analyze and respond to employee suggestions for operations improvements; Listen to and resolve employee complaints with assistance from Human Resources as required; Monitor performance and costs of vendors, including truckers, and take corrective measures as required; Ensure that inventory is performed accurately and with the utmost integrity; "Hands-on" type of supervisor, going around the warehouse regularly as necessary for the safe & successful handling of daily operation.

Requirements

Minimum of Five Years’ Distribution / Warehouse Operations and Inventory management Experience, with capability and initiative to accomplish Management responsibilities with little direct supervision
Minimum of Three Years’ supervisory management experience over a group of subordinates
Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills
Must possess a professional, positive, and motivated attitude and demeanor
Very Good Written & Verbal Skills
Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail and follow-up
Very Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, AS-400 a plus)
