Position
Business Planning Manager

Summary
A Japanese manufacturing company located in Covington, GA is seeking a Business Planning Manager.
This position is responsible for supporting management with sales forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and business planning functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate planning or business strategy and be able to provide analytical insights that contribute to the company’s growth. Japanese language ability is a plus.

Essential Duties
Business Planning
Develop and maintain a data support system by collecting, evaluating, analyzing, and reporting information against business targets to assist general sales and marketing activities.
Support annual sales goal setting and progress tracking.
Assist management with the development and evaluation of rolling sales forecasts and budgets.
Analyze economic conditions and prepare forecasts, budgets, expense, and promotional plans.
Analyze sales operations and collect statistical data to measure profitability and create baselines for effective operational improvements.
Coordinate monthly budgets by product, trade channel, account, and sales area.
Summarize findings and translate data into clear reports and presentations, including sales forecasts and countermeasure reports.
Develop and produce departmental spreadsheets and reports including MTP, budget documents, sales analysis, workflow analysis, profitability, and historical data.
Monitor and track sales and marketing KPIs, and investigate reasons for gaps.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Financial
Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, Japan GAAP, and IFRS.
Ensure compliance with internal and external audits and support J-SOX audit requirements.
Develop financial forecasts, feasibility analyses, and ad hoc financial reports and models as requested by the President/CEO and Business Planning Department.

Working Hours, Working Style
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (on-site, full-time)

Salary / Benefit
Base salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience)

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate or business planning
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to create and analyze financial and business reports
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management
Japanese language ability is a plus
