QUICK USA will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th, in Juneteenth. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Please note that we will resume regular business hours at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20th. We appreciate your cooperation.

On June 19, 1865, Union troops freed enslaved African Americans in Galveston Bay and across Texas, some two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. In Galveston, the arrival of Union General Gordon Granger brought the announcement of emancipation. The African American community has long commemorated this event as Juneteenth.

In 2021, President Joe Biden recognized Juneteenth as a federal holiday, symbolizing freedom and equality in America. Juneteenth serves as a reminder of the nation's history of slavery, acknowledging its impact, and providing an opportunity to pursue further social justice and equality. This day encourages the recognition and respect of African American history and culture.

Have a wonderful Juneteenth holiday!
