【Title】
Japanese-English Interpreter

【Summary】
This company is a specialist trading firm involved in the sales and distribution of air conditioning installation materials, primarily using Japanese-style ductless systems. They supply products manufactured in Japan and Southeast Asia through their distribution network in the U.S. We supply products manufactured in Japan and Southeast Asia through our extensive distribution network in the U.S.
We are currently seeking a Japanese-English Interpreter to support our technical team visiting from the Japanese headquarters during a major industry exhibition in New York.

【Essential Duties】
The interpreter will support 1–2 representatives from the Product Development Department visiting from Japan.
The primary goals are to gather insights for new product development and conduct competitive market research.

 - Booth Visits & Technical Inquiry: Accompanying the team to various exhibitor booths to receive product explanations and facilitate technical Q&A sessions.
 - Competitor Research: Assisting in the gathering of information on competitor products and industry trends.
 - Visitor Interaction at Our Booth: Facilitating communication and conducting interviews with visitors regarding our displayed products at the company’s own booth.

【Hourly Rate】
$50- ( Negotiable based on experience and technical expertise).

【Working Hours & Style】
Dates: March 18 (Wed) – March 19 (Thu), 2026 (2 days)
Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM

【Working Location】
Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (429 11th Avenue, New York, NY, 10001)

【Qualifications】
Language: Native-level fluency in both Japanese and English.
Experience: Proven experience in consecutive interpretation at industrial or technical trade shows.
Knowledge: Familiarity with HVAC, construction, or general engineering terms is a strong plus.
Attributes: Proactive, professional, and capable of navigating a busy trade show environment independently.
