In addition to the accounting tasks, for the Hawaii location, seeking someone who can contribute to management planning and corporate strategy while having an overview of the entire organization.

Position
Accounting Senior Manager

Summary
Lead and work hands-on with the Accounting team to manage all core accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, payroll, and cash management. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective coordination with the parent company and external auditors.

Essential Duties

• Supervise and develop Accounting team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.

• Perform and review key accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, monthly and annual closings, and financial reporting to the parent company.

• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and key financial analyses to support management decisions.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal controls.

• Act as liaison with the parent company, external auditors, and tax professionals.

• Handle payroll accounting processes, including reviewing payroll data and preparing related journal entries and reconciliations.

• Manage day-to-day cash flows and maintain appropriate liquidity levels.

• Review and optimize accounting and related operational workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control.

• Enhance accounting systems and drive process improvement initiatives for greater automation and reporting accuracy.

• Ensure all tax and compliance activities are completed properly and on time.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in an accounting position.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese.

• Proven leadership skills and ability to foster employee morale.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Excellent time and resource management abilities.

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with budget planning, forecasting, and internal controls.

• Willingness to continuously improve through learning and development.
