Job Description

【Position】 Plant Manager

【Summary】 We are an automotive parts mass production manufacturer with over 30 years of history in the U.S., headquartered in Japan. While securing stable sales as an automotive parts supplier, we require the achievement of QCDS targets demanded internally and externally in a 24-hour production environment while adapting to U.S. market conditions. As a group, we view the U.S. as a vital future hub and aim for further development beyond the automotive industry during this transformative period. Currently, an expatriate from Japan holds the site manager position, but we are seeking a leader to entrust with this critical base for the long term. The Plant Manager is responsible for maintaining the factory's on-time delivery rate and quality, improving safety and employee morale, and solving issues affecting the entire company. Future involvement in executive management is expected.

【Essential Duties】

Operations & Safety Management:

• Achieve customer-required delivery deadlines and quality targets.
• Ensure production personnel comply with regulations regarding production, quality, safety, and 5S activities.
• Maintain and manage overall factory safety management and 5S activities.
• Maintain and manage all machinery and equipment within the factory, including supervising equipment inspectio

Financial & Budget Management:

• Manage the budget for all aspects of factory operations (personnel costs, defect loss costs, tool costs, factory equipment costs, maintenance costs, etc.).
• Continuously strive for cost reduction against the budget.
• Compile company financial statements.

Personnel Management:

• Supervise all factory personnel (approx. Managers in General Affairs, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality).
• Set annual goals, monitor progress, implement disciplinary actions as needed, and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Manage personnel to resolve problems and achieve goals.

Communication & Reporting:

• Participate in regular meetings with headquarters (Japan), provide status updates, and explain approaches to problems.
• Coordinate, support, and assist business travelers from group companies.
• Build professional relationships with internal personnel, suppliers, and customers.

【Work Hours】

• Monday - Friday (Day shift)
• Note: Must be able to respond quickly to company situations in a 24-hour production environment.

【Qualifications】

• Over 4 years of factory management experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent qualifications.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong teamwork skills.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

• Experience or understanding of Japanese manufacturing culture/reporting to HQ is highly preferred.
