Technical Support Engineer

 

Summary

This position is responsible for providing technical support to customers regarding products. The role involves responding to technical inquiries, troubleshooting product issues, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate solutions.

 

Essential Duties

• Respond to customer technical inquiries related to products and material handling equipment
• Analyze product specifications, drawings, and performance issues to identify root causes and propose solutions
• Provide technical guidance on product installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance
• Participate in on-site inspections, testing, and product evaluations as needed

Qualifications

• A mechanical engineering background with hands-on design and manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in customer-facing technical support or application engineering is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to customers with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer service
• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (verbal and written)
